[ it was only a local little theatre rehearsal. when they got there it was a beautiful, sunny day. not a cloud to be seen. about 20 minutes into the practice, someone came in and made an announcement. "There's a tornado warning. Call your parents." most of them stayed there, there was food and drinks. it was a concrete building, much safer than being at a wooden or brick house.
the guests for the annual meeting started to arrive. a few people got pictures of the black clouds before the storm started. it rained sideways, slamming into cars and buildings at strange angles. it poured in buckets. there was thunder and lightning, wind and rain. the local fire department sent trucks out left and right. everyone knew that something was wrong. then they got the second announcement: "a tornado just touched down at the state park."
they got similar announcements two more times, two more reported twisters. the building was being slammed by wind and rain. thunder cracked and lightning flashed. no one knew if a tornado wouldn't touch down near them. ]
the town's okay. no serious damage. and if u wanna know how i know, its cuz i was there!:)
